Boil Water Notice Update

September 9, 2026 Update from Sampson County Public Works: Please be advised that water samples taken have shown absence of bacteria. The notice to boil water previously given due to line repair in the area is now rescinded. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

 


Sampson County Public Works is reporting a water main break in the Overland Rd. area. Water service is expected to be interrupted for approximately 4–5 hours while crews make repairs.

A Boil Water Notice is now in effect until further notice. Residents in the affected areas should boil water before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or other consumption.

Areas affected:

  • Overland Rd.
  • Shrine Club Ln.
  • Parkview Ln.
  • Wood Crest Ln.
  • Dana Ct.
  • Ashlyn Ave.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while Public Works crews work to restore service. An update will be provided when the boil water notice is lifted.
