Clerk to the Board Earns Certified Municipal Clerk Designation

Congratulations to Sampson County Clerk to the Board Stephanie Fulton on earning the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation!

The CMC designation is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) to municipal and county clerks who successfully complete rigorous education requirements and demonstrate a record of significant contributions to their local government, community, and state.

As Sampson County's Clerk to the Board, Stephanie plays an important role in supporting county government by preparing and maintaining complete and accurate records of Board of Commissioners meetings and serving as the official custodian of public records, including minutes, resolutions, ordinances, contracts, agreements, and other official documents. The Clerk also provides staff support to the County Manager and Board of Commissioners and assists citizens and other organizations with county-related information and services.
