Sampson County Emergency Services, in collaboration with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, hosted a blood drive event on June 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Emergency Services Building. This initiative was organized to support the Sampson Regional Medical Center's blood bank, which was on-site to collect donations.
The event saw a great turnout, with thirty donors participating. These donors were employees from various departments within Sampson County Government, showcasing their commitment to community service beyond their daily roles. By taking part in the blood drive, these employees demonstrated a profound way of giving back to the community they serve.
Blood donations are critical, especially in times of need, and the contributions made today will go a long way in saving lives and supporting patients in need of blood transfusions. The involvement of county employees in such a significant cause highlights the spirit of care that is rooted in our community. It also emphasizes how crucial it is to work together to meet healthcare needs.
Sampson County Emergency Services and the Sheriff’s Office express their sincere gratitude to Sampson Regional Medical Center's staff and all the donors who took time out of their busy schedules to contribute to this cause. The participation not only helps replenish the blood bank’s supplies but also sets a positive example for others in the community to follow.
This blood drive demonstrates the dedication of Sampson County employees to their community. It reflects their ongoing commitment to public service and their willingness to go above and beyond their professional duties to make a difference. The success of the blood drive event encourages us to continue organizing similar initiatives in the future, fostering a culture of compassion and community support.
