On May 27, 2025, a few representatives from the Sampson County Parks and Recreation Department were presented a check for $250,000 on behalf of Trillium Health Resources to be used to help fund the new inclusive Playground coming to Clement Ballpark later this year.

The Sampson County Parks and Recreation Department is beyond grateful & excited to have worked hand in hand with Trillium Health Resources to bring this incredible idea to reality.

“This project isn't just about swings and slides, it's about building a space where every child regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities can experience the joy of play, side by side. It's about fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging empathy, and creating a vibrant hub where friendships can blossom without limits. Imagine the laughter, the shared adventures, and the pure delight on every child's face when they come here, that's the future we are looking to build.” - Daniel Covington - Recreation Manager, Sampson County Parks & Recreation.

Lastly, we would like to thank Trillium Health Resources, our Parks & Recreation Director Dana Hall and everyone else who has made this project happen one last time for their vision, their generosity and their commitment for making our communities a more welcoming and joyful place for all!
