Sampson County Welcomes New Officials at Swearing-In Ceremony

This morning, the Swearing-In Ceremony took place at the Sampson County Courthouse at 9:00 AM.

District Court Judge Gilmore administered the oath of office to three new members of the Board of Commissioners: Houston Crumpler III, Lethia R. Lee, and Eric K. Pope.

Additionally, Anita H. Lane was sworn in as Register of Deeds, along with her Assistant and Deputy Register of Deeds. Judge Gilmore also administered the oath to the newly elected Soil and Water Supervisors, Curtis Barwick and Garrett Boney.

The ceremony was a significant occasion as these officials begin their important roles, which are crucial to the ongoing growth and prosperity of Sampson County.

The Board of Commissioners plays an integral role in the governance of Sampson County, overseeing policies and initiatives that impact our communities. The Register of Deeds ensures the proper maintenance and access to vital public records, and the Soil and Water Supervisors assist to manage the county's natural resources.

Congratulations to all those sworn in today. We look forward to the contributions they will make in serving the people of Sampson County.
