Fire Danger 02-28-25.png
The combination of dry fine fuels like grasses and tree debris, limited rainfall in the last week, and very low relative humidity of 20 to 28 percent will lead to an elevated risk of adverse fire behavior today.
While winds today will not be particularly strong, sporadic gusts up to 15 to 20 mph are possible.
On Saturday, ahead of an approaching cold front, the increasingly dry surface fuels along with continued low relative humidity of 20 to 30 percent and blustery winds frequently gusting to 25 to 30 mph will bring a greater risk of adverse fire behavior and possible wildfires.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors today or Saturday. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can grow quickly and become dangerous in these conditions.
